Who said video games were evil?
Mikey: What does impervious mean?
Me: (stalling) Where did you hear that dollar word?
Mikey: On my video game.
Me: Oh yeah, what did they say?
Mikey: Cruppy (or some name I'm sure I don't know) said: I am impervious to the force rings.
Me: Hmm...What do you think it means?
Mikey: maybe resistant...can't hurt me..you know ..your force rings can't hurt me...
Me: OK,let's look it up on the computer and see if your right...
and he was....see he learned something today!
In other news....Yay David Cook for winning AI...is it weird that I stood up and clapped in my own living room?

The thing about Nik
See..the thing about Nik is he is freakishly strong for a little guy...and as he gets older he gets stronger...at his 1 year check up it took 2 nurses, 1 doc and myself to hold him down for his immunizations (and has repeated yearly since then)..Seriously, at 45 lbs he packs quite a wallop!...so when he woke me up this morning to cuddle and I looked at his eyes...I knew I was in for a fight....He had pink eye, which means eye drops.... I called the pediatrician had the script called in for medicine and went to CVS to pick it up....came home and the battle of the drops began...and ended with me wrestling him to the ground...kneeling over him, with my calves holding his arms down and his head locked between my knees... Because it feels like spring again....
Monday was cold, wet and all out MISERABLE...today the sun is back!!!Here are some shots of some of my Mother's Day Plants....
I love reading other people's blogs...I learn so much about things I already own (like the macro setting on my digital camera) and find so many things that I feel I just must have and add to my ever growing wish list in my brain!!! Some day when I win millions and have a house with extra rooms to house it all ......

Classroom politics
Back when the primary elections were here, my oldest (in 2nd grade) had to write a speech on why people should vote for him (if only the real thing were this easy!)
Vote for me because I will promise to give you my Oreo's once a day. I will let you sit next to your friends. I will give you infinite time for journal's. I will help you if you need help.
